Tired of Adam Lambert Outrage

So, I have to admit I am a little tired of the Adam Lambert controversy.  I personally do not care if he kissed a guy on stage, and to be honest I do not think everyone else should be making such a big negative deal about it, because we see females kiss on television on a regular basis.  I do wonder if this outrage is because he was on American Idol.  What everyone has to remember is that he was not crowned The America Idol, and therefore can do as he pleases. If Kris Allen did this, I am sure his record label, manager, and anyone else involved would have cause for freaking out because he is marketed to all ages.  Lambert on the other hand has chosen what group he wants to market himself and his music to, therefore he is going to appeal to them and apparently he felt like kissing a man. Get over it. If you do not like it you can turn the channel.

As far as the rest of the show and the obvious sexual inuendos in his performance, well I find it hard to believe that all of those were impervised. The network saw his rehersal and if those actions were in the rehersal then they should have complained at that time. If they were not and were added just for the actual stage show, then maybe they need to make their performers adhere to stricter guidelines on what they can and cannot do and fine them a huge sum if they do not adhere.

Also I think that GMA had every right to cancel his performance.  The producers and network make the decision on what they want to show and what types of views they want to convey to their audience and if they do not think it will appeal to their audience then they do not show it.

My one fault with Lambert, was his “I am not a babysitter” comment.  I realize he is not a babysitter, but I think it was rude.  During his interview it almost seems like he is anti-childern.  Perhaps all of the networks need to make clear, that there may be questionable material during live performances, so that families are full warned and parents can decide to allow their childern to watch or not.
